Job Description

Administrative Manager/Assistant Administrative Manager

As a senior member of the Registry, the appointee will be required to provide administrative support for a wide range of duties pertaining to academic development and strategic planning; quality assurance and enhancement of undergraduate programmes of the University, including quality audits, review of academic policies and regulations, programme review, revision, approval, and administration; and other University-wide initiatives. The appointee will also provide secretarial support to committees as required and supervise staff in carrying out their duties.

 

Requirements

Applicants should have (i) a recognised bachelor’s degree and preferably a higher degree; (ii) at least 10 years’ working experience with not less than 3 years at the supervisory level for Administrative Manager, and at least 5 years’ working experience for Assistant Administrative Manager, preferably in the tertiary education sector; (iii) substantial experience in administration, preferably in academic planning and quality audits, and a high level of competence in writing and committee work; (iv) strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills; (v) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (vi) ability to carry out duties independently; and (vii) a strong sense of responsibility. Proficiency in IT applications will be a definite advantage. Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
