Job Description

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a) provide administrative support to a wide range of matters focusing on finance, accounting, legal issues, procurement, IT and compliance; 

(b) be responsible for financial reporting duties, management reporting and various reporting functions; 

(c) handle a full set of accounts, procurement and banking transactions; 

(d) liaise with internal and external auditors and all other related parties; 

(e) work closely with other stakeholders in the provision of management information, including financial and cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting; 

(f) formulate and implement internal control policies and procedures in accordance with both statutory and Government funding requirements; 

(g) ensure compliance with related statutory requirements and regulations; 

(h) organize and coordinate the assigned subject areas/projects and work independently with minimum supervision; 

(i) provide administrative/secretarial support to committees and financial related matters; and 

(j) perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Scientific Director as well as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deputy Scientific Director of CEVR and/or their delegates. 

Qualifications 

Applicants should: 

(a) have a recognised degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; 

(b) have professional qualifications in Accounting/Finance gained from recognised professional bodies; 

(c) have at least five years of solid post-qualification experience in Accounting, Auditing or related fields and supervisory experience; 

(d) have strong numerical sense and an analytical mind with demonstrated management capability; 

(e) be competent in committee secretaryship; 

(f) be a good team player, proactive and dedicated to work and have a positive can-do attitude; 

(g) have good interpersonal and communication skills; 

(h) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and preferably with fluency in Putonghua; and 

(i) have good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc. 

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test. 

Remuneration
