The Opportunity

Reporting to the Retail Insurance Underwriting Team Manager the purpose of this role is to provide high levels of customer service and administrative support to the Underwriting team. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong passion for customers and will ensure they receive accurate and knowledgeable information in a timely manner.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Make outbound calls to facilitate outstanding requirements
  • Engage in tele-interviews with applicants to collect information (both medical and financial)
  • Provide pre-assessment and reinsurance referral support
  • Pathology, Medical & PMAR management, monitoring requirements and payments
  • Internal & external inbox management, importing of underwriting documents into workflow system and delegating of emails
  • Respond to enquiries and keep all stakeholders informed of the progress and status on an ongoing basis

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Good communication and telephone skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong process improvement skills
  • Understanding of and exposure to Underwriting processes (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience of working with advisers and support staff
  • Completion of Underwriting courses (Preferred)
