Job Description
Tasks
To support the development and maturisation of the Crankcase and Cylinder Head facilities within NEP manufacturing operations. Help to develop production and quality processes on both lines helping to mature the knowledge and experience of the Production Associates and Section Leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Support the introduction of NEP Machining and gauging Processes on G6 and Z6 sharing best practice where possible
Share experiences from sister plant and ensure BMW processes are adhered to in NEP
Support the interviewing for NEP Machining Associates in line with the agreed recruitment plan
Act as coach and mentor to existing BMW- Brilliance associates on the new BX8 products and the manufacturing processes
Support the commisioning and sign off process for both Crankcase and Cylinder Head
Review and advise with regard to Commisioning Inspection results on capability and changes as required
Provide support for manufacturing process for operations, attend meeting with suppliers and BMW central planning
Support planning team in terms of gauging and process documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor / Master degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
Operational experience in manufacturing of Crankcases & Cylinder Heads using the latest manufacturing systems
Have a good overview of the manufacuring processes and support documentation within SAP etc
Manufacturing operation process knowledge with high level of understanding of soft and hardware
Demonstrate an ability to develop the above
Knowledge of system software development together with machine process understanding
Knowledge of manufacturing operations processes (assembly and machining)
High level of understanding of software and hardware
Good understanding of BMW processes and procedures
Good understanding of VPS and the application of VPS
English, German would be an advantage
Ideally experienced in an automotive manufacturing environment 4-6 Years
Preferable knowledge with high volume production machinery 4-6 Years
Knowledge of various lean manufacturing methods is advantageous 4-6 Years
Knowledge and awareness of maintenance Mechanical and Electrical 1-3 Years
