Eaton’s Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) Division is hiring an Advanced Analytics Technical Lead. This is a remote position. Position Overview: As an Advanced Analytics Technical Lead, you will provide advanced analytics and new technological tools for the Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) Division. You will guide the development and implementation of the analytics under the direction of the Division Analytics Manager, supporting CPDI’s Strategic goals. The main focus will be providing analytical tools and solutions and coaching the end user community on how to use these tools to support their decision-making processes. In this role, you will: Act as a Subject Matter Expert and a central point of contact in analytics Manage, coordinate, and advise strategic and high-impact global analytics projects Support Cross-functional projects Serve as a technical consultant to Product/SCM Managers from different departments Contribute to defining and excelling the business intelligence model for CPDI Build and train the analytics community, shape analytics framework for the organization and mentor interns/junior data analysts Conduct end-to-end analyses from the idea phase all the way through to end results including the presentation and communication of findings Apply appropriate statistical or machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering) to model complex problems, find opportunities to increase sales productivity, discover solutions, and deliver actionable business insights Create reports and dashboards that capture key metrics required by senior management Design, implement and optimize ETL workflows Manage, maintain, and clean complex datasets in a big data environment Organize and run business improvement workshops Support business decision making processes by attending and providing analytical support during key meetings Contributing to the ongoing development of the CPDI team’s data hub by providing technical insight into relevant business systems Use the Scrum approach to project management and engages as a team member in all the necessary activities required to implement Scrum effectively When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution At least 5 years' experience in advanced data analytics At least 5 years of working knowledge in data warehousing and data modeling concepts Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (master's or doctoral) in a field with a high level of mathematical learning e.g. STEM, Accountancy 8 years' experience in advanced data analytics 8 years' working knowledge in data warehousing and data modeling concepts Technical Knowledge: In-depth industry knowledge on Sales and Marketing, Finance, SCM Expertise in dashboard design (both graphical and cognitive aspects) Experience in Continuous improvement tools and Processes (VSM, BPI, PSK) Advanced user of any business intelligence tool (e.g. Power BI, OBIEE) Advanced knowledge with data warehousing and data modeling concepts Advanced SQL skills (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Impala and Hive dialects), experience in querying large and complex data sets, deep understanding of relational databases Expertise in SAP and Business Warehouse Proficiency in Agile / Scrum concepts and principles At Eaton, we strive to provide compensation and benefits that attract, engage, and retain the best talent.
