Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, develop and optimize advanced manufacturing technologies around CNC machining (and its alternatives) and process automation.

• Support process development from initial engineering feasibility through manufacturing implementation including verification and validation activities, equipment qualification and initial production.

• Analyze design, materials, processes, tooling, equipment capabilities, assembly methods, quality and corporate standard.

• Estimate production times, cost, and staffing requirements for mass production.

• Plan, coordinate and direct manufacturing processes, quote sign-off and equipment sourcing and feasibility

• Work with manufacturing leadership to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product

• Review work force utilization, workflows, programs, cutting speeds, feed rates, tool types and layouts for maximum efficiency

Critical Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing, process engineering, tooling or similar
• Experience in one or more of the following required: CNC machining and process automation
• Understand CNC machining theory, practice, supplier market, tooling and fixture.
• Understand other alternative process (e.g., laser cutting, stamping, water jet, 3D printing, etc.)
• Six Sigma, Lean, Continuous Improvement, costing training or experience highly desired
• DOE and data driven studies experience highly desired
• Demonstrated program or project management skills
• Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal in English and Chinese) to all levels of the organization
• Ability to identify and implement Best Practice
• Experience working with global teams
• Ability to travel domestic up to 35% of the time and ability to travel internationally
