Job Description
Essential Responsibilities: - Provide leadership and technical direction for new product introduction and qualification.
- Work with GE qualification team and pitcher team to understand the qualification requirements and product CTQ.
- Lead catcher team from different functions to develop MPP, PQP, BOM, drawing, WI etc. for prototype/FPQ and pilot lot production.
- Facilitate and coordinate, as well as track, day-to-day activities required to ensure the qualification/project is completed on time and successfully.
- Maintain and manage project/qualification risks and develop effective action plans for resolution.
- Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
- Identify the latest industry technologies and implement them into factory to improve overall business performance.
- Drive process manufacturing to mitigate risk using process flow maps, PFMEA’s, GRR, SPC, process control plans and process capability studies.
- Work with manufacturing leadership to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.
- Monitor and improve productivity through the use of Lean Six Sigma or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are timely and cost-conscious and met with quality
- Ensure early focus on manufacturability in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs. Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment development.
- Drive the development of manufacturing process technology roadmap for Growth Playbook including robotics, automation, digitization etc.
- Support AME initiatives with wide business impact and ensure to share best practices across the team
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree with at 5+ years of experience in production, engineering or troubleshooting
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization
- Ability to identify and implement Best Practices
- Strong experience working in a matrix organization.
- 5+ years industrial experience in Manufacturing Engineering Field
- 6-sigma DMAIC certified
- Experiences in Process Intensive manufacturing
- Product and Process Development experience
- Solid working knowledge of GEPW QMS procedures
- Experienced developing tools and templates
- Demonstrated program or project management skills
- Demonstrated experience owning production processes / growing capability in yield and quality
- Experience working with global teams
