Job Description
We are currently looking for an Advanced Robotics and AI Intern to join our Research Group in Berkeley, California. The candidate must be able to work 40 hours a week. The internship is in person in our Berkeley office. The starting date is as soon as possible. The Challenge During this internship, the candidate will experience the excitement and challenges of industrial research and be part of a world class team. This person will: • Conduct research and development in the area of advanced robotics, AI, and machine autonomy • Work on fast-paced projects in the area of the autonomous factory of the future • Develop prototypes and proof of concepts • Demonstrate your work in presentations and publications The Candidate Qualified candidates will have/be: • PhD or MSc students in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline • Experience with robotic manipulation and robotic grasping • Implemented and debugged algorithms on real robot hardware • Familiarity with ROS development • C++ and Python proficiency • Deep Learning experience • Experience with machine vision for robotics (e.g. OpenCV) and common sensing modalities such as RGB-D sensors Organization: Technology Company: Siemens Corporation Experience Level: Student (Not Yet Graduated) Full / Part time: Full-time Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Siemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
