This is an Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer (ASQE) - Motor role reporting to the Head of Global Supplier Manager in the Business Area - Robotics & Discrete Automation located in Shanghai, China.
Your responsibilities
- Involving in new supplier selection, responsible for Supplier Qualification Program (SQP), performing Selection Qualification Questionnaire (SQQ), sustainability audits and following up corrective actions of SQQ from all new potential suppliers.
- Being responsible for all new design, localization, transferring parts supplier Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes, performing annual audit to key suppliers and follow up corrective action, liaising with Research and Development (R&D) engineering functions for resolution and escalation of technical issues.
- Leading APQP at supplier side to implement preventative quality assurance method, performing process audit and following up on corrective actions.
- Leading quality issue resolution during developing and following up corrective actions, maintaining and updating open issue list and sample approval activities. Ensuring effective communication of technical issues to suppliers and internal customers.
- Developing and implementing new regional supply chains identified by commodity strategies and new product development/provision. Maintaining APQP sample status report and data in system, providing quality training to suppliers, sample approval handover/handover Package.Global supporting and co-operation for new programs, migration projects, Supply Chain Management (SCM) saving projects like localization.
- Being the owner of “First Delivery Qualification” process, supporting SQE to analyze and solve critical supplier quality issues happened during mass production.
- Maintaining monthly report and data in system and other assigned jobs.

Your background
- A bachelor/ master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience and abundant knowledge in motor, plastics, cable harness mechanical manufacturing or development.
- Good program management skills and project experience in supplier quality development during the new projects.Rich knowledge and experiences in quality system management, like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, knowledge of TS16949 is preferred.
- Solid knowledge and experience in QC tools, like PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, familiar in mechanical process, knowledge of Lean manufacture, 6 Sigma is preferred.
- Solid Supplier audit knowledge and relevant experiences.
- Self-discipline, self-motivation, “Can do” attitude and result orientation,strong communication skills and teamwork attitude, proficient in oral and written English skills.
- Must have good problem-solving skills, being proactive and willing to travel frequently.
