Job Description
The position incumbent ensures, that
Act as Project Coordinator of Procurement department – Managing all tasks and deliverables as a core team member concerning procurement, logistics and supplier quality until Gate 5. ASC takes the responsibility for new projects (in procuring new parts, providing relevant information to his colleagues to work on material flow, transport and logistics cost estimation, Sales, R&D, ME, Plant Purchasing and Plant Logistics have to deliver the data for realizing a lean supply chain.
- Provide commercial data for market realistic quotations (via Supply Launch Manager / SLM)
- Provide received quotation to compare market cost and internal cost (MOB)
- Review customer cost from the part price, terms of logistic and tooling point of view
- Take care of costing which have to be updated
- Provide supplier feasibility study based on the technical specification to the team ( ASC / Plant purchasing)
- Initiate escalation process if necessary
- If necessary, push early supplier involvement for design support (together with the team)
- Take care of prepared nomination process and sourcing decision
- Coordinate purchase order process
- Involve ASQ for external supplier APQP and supplier PPAP
- Involve plant logistic in case of packaging and transport settlements
- Manage supplier change requests, initiate engineering change requests (ECR) and prepare engineering changes within customer programs.
- Coordinate technical reviews (with Supplier Development, Commodity Buyer, PE & ME).
- Work with/assist Commodity Buyer (CB) for estimates/RFQ/source recommendation form as necessary.
- Obtain consensus with program team on source selections.
- Coordinate all Change Management requirements affecting suppliers.
- Capture Procurement department lessons learned and provide them to program team.
- Organized by BU and linked to design center.
- Intelligent Forward Planning (CIP / VA).
- Coordinate Procurement / order “directed Buy Parts” and organize their logistics regarding material management.
- Instruct ASQ to take care of claims related to PPAP of “directed Buy parts” together with the SQA.
- Responsible for target costing of new projects.
- Responsible for flawless launches.
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years working experience in automotive or from similar product industry (Stamping, Casting, forging, Machining components or system assemblies)
- Minimum 3 years working experience in procurement role or program management
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential
- Frequent regional travels and participation to conference calls with internal overseas customers If necessary
- ERP operating experience, SAP system experience will be preferred.
- Experience in exhaust system industry will be a plus
- Be able to work under high pressure.
