Because we understand that financial wellbeing is linked to physical and mental wellbeing.
We are operated by AIA Financial Services Limited, a subsidiary of AIA Australia, under a separate Australian Financial Services License (AFSL). In upholding our AFSL, we comply with ASIC and FASEA obligations and standards.

The Opportunity

Launching a new business is an exciting time. This is your opportunity to bring your amazing skills and be part of delivering Financial Advice services to our customers.

Before customers meet a financial planner, they’ll likely speak to an Advice Associate.  You’ll be working closely with our Financial Planners providing comprehensive administrative support as well as providing a highly personable experience to our customers.

Please note we are accepting applications from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to Advisers in their delivery of Financial Advice to our customers

  • Assist in the preparation of customer meetings, supporting research, managing documentation, record management and implementation of advice to customers

  • Take ownership of the transition of the client to their Adviser in a manner that suits the customer’s needs

  • Conduct research and evaluate data to the Advisers

  • Implement any customer advice in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with different parts of the business to support business initiatives and support a well-functioning team

  • Continuously build your knowledge of the Advice industry, legislative changes, attend professional development and compliance training sessions and complete all mandatory learning within the required timeframes

  • Be curious and interested to continuously grow your knowledge and provide better services to Advisers

  • Be responsible for exercising sound risk management practices

  • Work autonomously at times as well as collaboratively.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Diploma of Financial Services, Financial Planning (RG146 compliance)

  • Proven track record of experience in a busy customer service / client facing role

  • Previous experience working in a Financial Planning / Advice business would be highly regarded

  • Strong interest in the Financial Planning / Financial Advice industry

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral

  • Well-developed rapport building and customer engagement skills

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Well-developed skills in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Teams

  • Sound risk management thinking and practices

  • An interest in pursuing or completed a relevant Degree in Finance, Business, Commerce or related discipline

  • Role modeling AIA’s Operating Philosophy of “Doing the Right thing, in the Right Way, with the Right people” is a minimum requirement for this role and the incumbent will be measured against this regularly
