We oversee initial plans, set budgets, track project activities and communicate milestones to key stakeholders.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Tracks new technology development for assigned products/suppliers.
  • Drives alignment between Supplier roadmaps and Dell line of business roadmaps.
  • Negotiates product cost and contracts as appropriate.
  • Drives suppliers to improve their scorecard performance.
  • Reports commodity and supplier performance on a monthly basis.
  • Implements Dell initiatives with supply base as required. Identifies opportunities for supply chain optimization and implements as appropriate.
  • Identifies suppliers that provide relevant technology for products. Identifies cost targets for relevant roadmap products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With limited supervision, provides project support, cost management and development support of commodity supplier strategy
  • Drives RFQ process to determine recommended supplier selection finalists and leads the supplier selection process
  • Supports or leads the establishment of current business requirements and service strategy as applicable
  • Drives suppliers to improve their scorecard performance and reports supplier performance as required while also driving the analysis and negotiation of product costs and contracts
  • Develops and maintains supplier relationships while resolving issues across functions Responsible to develop and maintain contact with key suppliers
  • May lead some or all commodity teams

Qualification

  • Education background and Work experience

Minimum: Bachelor Degree major in engineering or management
Preferred: Engineering or operations related master degree
Experience: with 5~10 years industry experience in engineering/ procurement/High Tech or electronics manufacturing Procurement
