About The Role:
As the Product Manager for the Contenta S1000D and LiveContent S1000D offerings within the Contenta Publishing Suite, you will be responsible for defining the vision, developing the strategy and driving the product roadmap. You will work closely with product marketing, product development and strategic partners to deliver the right solutions to customers with the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction. The Product Manager serves as a product champion by deeply understanding customer requirements across the market segments of this industry landscape and then evangelizes these requirements and objectives across multiple functional groups within the Government, Aerospace and Defense team.
Requirements:
- Aerospace or Defense industry experience a must, either on the US Government, contractor or vendor side.
- Minimum 5 years of proven enterprise product management experience a must; extra credit if 2+ years of experience has been with content management and delivery products within A&D
- Excellent written and communication skills and equally able to talk to engineers, senior executives, and customers.
- Solid understanding of structured content management and delivery systems
- Good understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) of complex systems
- Understanding of Technical Documentation principals, including planning, project management, editing, publishing and dynamic delivery is a plus.
- Understanding of the S1000D Technical Documentation specification and familiarity with the entire S-Series is a big plus.
- Able to easily transition between high level strategy to day-to-day implementation
- Results driven, attention to detail and follow-through.
- Have the innate ability to inspire passion in others
- Willingness and ability to travel, including international travel, to customers, conferences, workshops (Travel estimate: 10%-20%)
- US Citizenship required
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product Marketing to develop and communicate the product vision and strategy that integrates and balances customer requirements, return on investment and innovations that will grow the business across our current and targeted market segments.
- Implement the product strategy by defining and communicating the product roadmaps and managing and grooming the product backlogs.
- Engage customers and internal stakeholders to define, prioritize, and validate functional and non-functional product requirements and drive successful roll-out and implementation of new product capabilities
- Strengthen customer loyalty and advocacy by demonstrating a deep understanding of the clients business, goals and needs.
- Develop credibility and trust with strategic customers who are at the forefront of their Aerospace & Defense market segments.
- Provide cross functional team leadership throughout the product lifecycle.
- Champion transformational processes cross functionally to help teams effectively deliver customer value.
- Prepare for business reviews, financial analysis & forecasting
- Engage with product marketing and sales around Go-To-Market plans
- Engage with partner team and partners for solution development, release and sustainment
- Engage with operations, legal and finance to maintain the logistical aspects of the business
