What will you do?
- As an aftermarket sales representative, you will work closely with the Regional Senior Service Manager, customer service and sales organizations to execute the sales plan for services on all service offerings, included but not limited to Spare Parts, Service Agreements, Upgrades and Rentals.
- Sell the value story for services offerings on large negotiations with customers for hardware and services. Your focus will be on services to ensure maximization on price capabilities and perceived value from the customer
- Within an assigned region and with a diverse customer base, you will be responsible for negotiating and influencing purchasing decisions, building new opportunities either through identifying or developing new market opportunities for valued services
- Drive the sales process of service offerings to improve the regional service revenue while presenting to customers the value proposition and differentiation of Thermo Fisher as a provider of choice
- Coordinate and drive quotes for customers including follow up, pipeline organization and generation of success metrics (conversion ratio, win and loss, revenue growth and attainment to plans)
- Develop pricing agreements with key customers and negotiate Terms & Conditions to ensure that all transactions and contracts align with company policies
- Work with customer service teams to follow up all quotes to improve bookings and revenue
- Maintain records of all customers, their service agreement status, renewals and potential conversions from warranty
- Provide input to regional leadership on additional initiatives and opportunities in order to meet and exceed plans and to improve growth for the future
- Train sales and services teams on service offerings with support from product management to improve capillarity and reach of service sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and channel partners, where applicable, to expand the service offerings knowledge and penetration with their support and engagement on services growth initiatives
- Support high level knowledge transfer amongst regional sales and service staff, and use connections for innovations and cross learning opportunities
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, preferably in electronics, engineering, or scientific
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- This role will involve travel so the ability to travel up to 50% of the time is a must!
- Track record of excellent sales achievements (within an industrial, healthcare or food producing market is a bonus)
- Ability to negotiate and run complex contracts, including T's & C’s
- Proven track record in identifying new business opportunities and growing revenue and profitability within an aftermarket or service business.
- Set and achieve goals, handle time, tasks and risks, meet deadlines and run heavy workloads
- You will have a strong customer focus and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Knowledge of industry involving niche high–value capital equipment and associated aftermarket services
- Engineering/Technical/Commercial experience
