Job Description

  • Ensure smooth and timely response the customers requirement through freight process
  • Active communicate with oversea/customer for approval if needed and verify TLI#/ULI# at the time of booking receipt .
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
  • Track and Trace Ocean Export Files and reporting to make sure meet customers and company’s standard
  • Use Ocean Export Flow to monitor ship files and effective manage exceptions on a daily basis.
  • Ensure documents are timely sent and Shipping notices communicated to overseas and customers
  • Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing, Cost protection and IC close, Follow up with oversea for  timely revenue recognition together with DOC.
  • Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
  • Sensitive on customer volume trends, high sense of sales ideas to communicate with oversea/customer maximum maintain biz and chase for opportunities.
  • Maximum revenue per shipment concept and do weekly/monthly REVENUE analysis to negotiate with oversea/customer when needed
  • Weekly update the local market status such as space status, pricing adjustment, blank sailing etc.
  • Contribute to maintain good relationships with suppliers (Ocean carriers, trucking companies and others involved).
  • Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations.
  • Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity continuously
  • Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in Customer SOP
  • Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedures          (OPS /Compliance etc., )
  • Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
  • Support the supervisor/manager where needed:
  • Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
  • Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride. 
  • Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.
  • Attend training classes when required.
  • Complete mandatory training when required.

Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • A good understanding of Expeditors’ Products and Services
  • Understanding of ocean process a plus.
  • Strong market and competition knowledge
  • Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).

Skills:

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Fluent in English.
