Job Description
General Description / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Be responsible for the overall operational and service quality, operational SOP and KPI implementation of Air Import department by leading and motivating the team as a role model.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)
1) Monitor the whole team to work according to the SOP and the company rule to ensure smooth shipment handling.
2) Make sure the data quantity and other system related KPI in the CW1.
3) Be responsible for quotation based on rates, space negotiation with carriers when needed.
4) Support the team for problem solving or complains from oversea clients/carriers etc.
5) Review and update SOPs when necessary.
6) Manage the vendors to ensure them to deliver good service quality with competitive costs.
7) Set up targets for team members and monitor /review targets, performances to facilitate team performance. Come up with performance improvement plans for under-performing staffs.
8) Provide continuous trainings to team members.
9) Deliver company culture and build good team spirit within the team.
10) Build up the team and manage the job allocation to ensure a good productivity & efficiency.
11) Other tasks assigned by the manager.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree or above
- Minimum 5+ years working experience in Air Import department of global forwarders, with 2+ years Supervisor/Assistant to Supervisor experiences.
- Good experience with the know-how of international transport, especially in air import
- Strong interpersonal abilities both internally and externally, strong leadership skill.
- Good presentation skill, listening skill and negotiation skill.
- Good English skill in both writing and speaking.
- Good PC skills of Microsoft Office Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Quick learner, good team player, strong self-motivated and result-oriented.
