We are seeking a highly qualified PR Senior Manager/Assistant Director to join our Taiwan office. Reporting into the Vice President, Corporate Affairs based in Hong Kong, the individual will be primarily charged with promoting a positive image of Alibaba Group and providing PR support to our business units in Taiwan. Key Responsibilities: •Develop and implement communications strategies to promote understanding of Alibaba’s business development in Taiwan •Identify key stakeholders including key opinion leaders, bloggers, media and academics and recommend approach to engage •Devise PR ideas to promote products and business of the various business units including consumer and lifestyle PR campaigns •Maintain on ground relationship with media and perform the press office functions including drafting releases, arranging interviews, handling media enquiries •Evaluate and manage speaking and sponsorship opportunities •Liaise closely with various business units to explore publicity opportunities and ensure message alignment •Corporate event management and handle ad-hoc projects as and when required •Manage a team of three people
•Degree holder or above in corporate communications, public relations, journalism or related disciplines; •At least 10 years’ public relations experience gained from corporations or PR agencies; •Knowledge of Taiwan media scene is a definite must; •Good understanding of new media and other latest media channels; •Self-motivated, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high flexibility and adaptability in work; •Presentable with strong project management skills; •Excellent command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
