AQL's goal is to realize the revolutionary potentials of quantum computing. We are committed to this long-term mission and aspire to build a world-leading program in the next few years. Our interdisciplinary and international team is based in Hangzhou, China and Bellevue (WA), USA. English is AQL's sole working language.

We are a full stack R&D program with an emphasis on building hardware and systems of superconducting quantum computers. Outstanding candidates from all central areas of quantum computing are welcome to apply. For the 2019 hiring, priorities will be given to device-level theory and simulation, error-correction, quantum computer architecture, and experimental solid-state physics. Our measurement lab will be completed in early 2019. While we currently use our partners' facilities for fabrication, we will enjoy our own dedicated, well-equipped cleanroom, which is already under construction.

岗位描述:
Position Description:
As a Quantum Scientist focusing on Electronic Design Automation (EDA), you will work in a multifunctional team to solve various scientific and engineering problems on the theory, modeling and simulation of elements, devices and circuits used for superconducting quantum computer.

Responsibility:
  • Derive models of superconducting circuits and perform numerical simulation for time evolutions.
  • Perform radio frequency electromagnetic field simulations.
  • Perform atomic scale ab initio simulations.
  • Develop tools for the automation of multi-scale simulations.
岗位要求:
1. PhD in physics, electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science or related areas by the time of appointment.
2. Experience in open quantum systems, electromagnetic field, or ab initio simulations. Being familiar with experimental and theoretical superconducting quantum computing is desirable but not required.
3. Being familiar with inverse problem, matrix analysis, multilinear algebra, finite element method, or complex analysis is desirable but not required.
4. Proficiency in Python or C/C++. Experience in Perl, Julia, or shell scripts is desirable but not required.
5. Experience in high performance computing.
