Barback
Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to all guests.  Clean and set up the bar in the outlet and perform other food/beverage service related duties, including general cleaning and set up.

Responsibilities:

The Barback position's primary responsibility is to assist with the bartender’s needs. Responsibilities include ensuring the food order is complete and taken to the guest in a timely manner. They are also responsible for stocking, cleaning and the overall flow of the bar. This candidate must be highly motivated, energetic, and possess great communication skills.

Job responsibilities include; although are not limited to:

• Display a congenial appearance and is well groomed at all times.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and detail oriented qualities are necessary. 
• Get ice for all the wells. 
• Prepare fruit.
• Restock the bar with beer, liquor, wine, glassware, juices.
• Make sure there are enough backups for the shift.
• Collect empty glass from the bar.
• Wipe bar top constantly.
• Make sure back cooler is clean and organized.
• Their main job responsibilities are to expedite the completed dishes to the service area and when needed service the tables as well.  
• Job requires maintaining composure, working as a team with the bartenders and service staff to fulfill all requests by guests and other colleagues.
• Job requires creativity and alternative thinking to develop new ideas.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
• Job requires being reliable, responsible and dependable.

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Food Handlers Card required
• Mixologist/ bartending certification class is a plus.
• Prior experience in a similar bar/restaurant environment preferred.

• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill daily tasks.

• Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
• Requires manual dexterity to use all equipment including silverware, stemware and computers.
