Job Description

Intel is transforming to a 'data centric' company. Leading this transformation are Cloud Service Providers (CSP) like Amazon Web Services (AWS).

We are looking for a Global Alliance Lead to manage our Public Sector engagement, and go to market collaboration with AWS, their customers, and our joint partners. The role will focus on building a joint GTM strategy, with AWS, and Intel leadership. Focused on accelerating adoption of solutions across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Hybrid, HPC, AI/ML and Edge solutions, and driving business acceleration through leadership, sales acceleration program and marketing demand generation efforts in a way that is good for the customer, good for Amazon, and good for Intel.

The AWS Alliance Lead plays a key role along with the headquarters marketing team to drive our Go-To-Market efforts in the Public Sector globally and across the United States. This will include deep engagement with Amazon with US Federal, State, and Local Government.

You will have many tools at your disposal, including Market Development Funds (MDF) to build relationships and Sales engagement with AWS sales, product, and partner teams. You will also partner closely with your peer alliance managers in region to drive global collaboration.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing and implementing a HQ/regional aligned growth strategy for our strategic alliance with AWS, with a goal to drive AWS consumption revenue for Intel based instances, and services in Public Sector deployments globally, and across the United States
  • This will involve expanding Intel's routes to market with AWS including working directly with their Public Sector Sales teams plus identifying and building business relationships with key mutual Partners that drive AWS implementations into enterprise and government agencies
  • You will also team with the Intel SMG USA Country teams to collaboratively accelerate the joint Customers' journey to the Cloud
  • The role will include collaborating with regional Cloud Solution Architects (CSA) and other technical experts to help develop and deploy solutions that drive Intel affinity
  • Outside of the regional AWS engagements, the alliance lead will also help identify and prioritize services and workloads that can be optimized as well as Partner GTM efforts

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Prior Sales experience in managing multinational alliances and partnerships
  • Clear and confident communicator to a range of audiences from Sales and Product VPs/ Directors to their teams
  • Knowledge of leading, and building sales motions for edge to cloud migrations to AWS and hybrid cloud deployments with end customers
  • Understanding of the Global and Regional Systems Integrators (GSIs/RSIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Cloud Management Platforms (CMPs) and born on the Cloud integrators
  • Strong familiarity with AWS services, software, and instances is strongly preferred
  • Basic technical understanding of our Datacenter Platform Group (DPG) roadmap, key Cloud workloads, reference architectures, and our Cloud customer value proposition are key
  • Proven ability to build alliances, cultivate pipeline, and close deals in US Public Sector, especially Federal and State government or related agencies
  • Excellent Cloud computing acumen and industry knowledge of Analytics, Enterprise Workloads (e.g. VMWare, Oracle, SAP), Hybrid/ Multi Cloud, Data and AI, HPC in the Cloud, and other solutions
  • Industry and Vertical Knowledge of Healthcare/ Lifesciences, Industrial/ Manufacturing and Public-Sector solutions for specific value delivery
  • Ability to be self-propelled and to work as part of a global account team

Key areas of focus:

  • Alliance Management with AWS in Global, and US Public Sector (Federal, State, Local)
  • GTM (Go-to-Market) Sales strategy and execution
  • Ecosystem collaboration across different routes to market i.e., GSI/RSI/ISV/MSP/CMP
  • Co-selling and AWS Sales pipeline management
  • AWS Sales, Product and Partner network development to increase influence for Intel based AWS services


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing/Communication, Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant subject area
  • 5+ years of experience in US Public Sector, especially Federal and State government or related agencies
  • 5+ years of prior experience in managing alliances and partnerships across either sales or marketing


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Marketing/Communication or MBA equivalent
  • Certified as an AWS Cloud Practitioner, or similar at other leading CSP (GCP, Azure)
  • Technical Degree Preferred
  • Experience in technical sales and/or delivering and educating stakeholders on Intel HW/SW roadmap, and technical solutions
  • Proven familiarity with AWS or other leading CSP sales motions for public and hybrid cloud deployments with end customers, including offerings, data strategy, migration plans, etc.
  • Understanding of the Global and Regional Systems Integrators (GSIs/RSIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Cloud Management Platforms (CMPs) and born on the Cloud integrators
  • Vertical Knowledge: of Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare/ Lifesciences, Industrial/ Manufacturing and Public-Sector
  • Domain Expertise: of Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning, Big Data, Analytics, SAP, Hybrid, and IOT
