Job Description

Over the past decade, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been growing at an explosive rate as they have led the transformation in how computing is delivered into enterprises worldwide. Intel has been a close partner to AWS in both providing the technology at the center of their computer platforms, but also in helping them sell and position those solutions and services into the marketplace in a way that drives demand for the technology that Intel is providing to AWS. While most of the activities for selling the technology into Amazon are located in Seattle, we have critical engagements with AWS around the world to drive the consumption of their services with end customers. In order to manage and expand these engagements in the region, we are looking for a highly motivated Marketing Development Manager (MDM) who is passionate working backwards from the customer, to understand how our technology can help them solve their challenges, and market opportunities.

As part of Team Amazon, working in the DPG Sales organization, the MDM (Marketing Development Manager) will support our global c-marketing with AWS. Your responsibilities will be to help develop and implement the strategy for our co-marketing alliance with Amazon Web Services, and their partners globally, with a goal to drive AWS TAM expansion and preference for the latest Intel based technologies (via AWS). This would involve expanding Intel's routes to market with AWS to educate and influence their sales teams, partners, and customers. Using marketing to educate the cloud ecosystem about our joint value proposition is pivotal to Intel's success with AWS, and their customers. You would also team with the Intel consumption sales and marketing teams to collaboratively accelerate joint customers journey to the cloud. Your success will be measured by your ability to utilize marketing programs, to drive KPI's including revenue, and deal wins.

You will have many tools at your disposal including dedicated Market Development Funds (MDF) to build relationships and marketing engagement with AWS sales, solution architects and partners.

Key areas of focus:

  • GTM (Go to Market) Strategy and Execution

  • Customer centric content development, working with Intel Subject Matter Experts, agencies, and DPG marketing

  • Educating AWS sellers and marketers on Intel value

  • Engaging X-Intel teams on AWS specific value proposition & products (Cloud.U, Partner.U, Field CSAs, PSAMs, AEs/ITS)

  • Develop and help enforce use of programmatic co-marketing guidelines (i.e. priority activities/workloads/industries, investment amounts, branding expectations, ROI expectations, decision criteria)

  • Marketing and Training event planning and execution

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Clear and confident communicator to a range of audiences from Marketing Directors to sales teams and solution architects

  • Although not a technical role, the candidate will be able to appreciate and understand the value of our technology for partners and customers

  • Excellent cloud computing acumen and industry knowledge of datacentre ISV's, Big Data, Analytics & HPC solutions

  • Understanding of the Global Systems Integrator, National System Integrators and born on the cloud integrators would be an advantage

  • Understanding of Intel DPG's cloud strategy and the ability to pull in the DPG marketing resources and GMP influencer sales organization to achieve our goals

  • Due to the agility of Amazon and lean account team, the adaptability to invent and iterate AWS specific content, messaging and programs will be needed

  • Vertical Knowledge of Financial Services, Healthcare and Lifesciences & Public Sector would be an advantage

  • Ability to be self-propelled and to work as part of an international team


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or relevant subject area

  • 1+ years of prior experience in managing alliances and partnerships across either sales or marketing

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master's degree in Marketing or Communications.

  • MBA equivalent

  • Understanding of the Global Systems Integrator,  National System Integrators and born on the cloud integrators would be an advantage

  • Vertical Knowledge of Financial Services, Healthcare and Lifesciences & Public Sector would be an advantage

  • Domain Expertise; Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Big Data, Analytics, SAP, Hybrid, and IOT
