Manager – Analysis & Improvement

Data Analytics

Dashboards

• Design and maintenance of analytics dashboards relating to Albemarle’s ethics & compliance and trade compliance programs and for the corporate communications, government relations; product regulatory and legal functions.

  Source Data Extraction & Enterprise Architecture

• Identification and mapping of required data points from internal/external sources
• Identification of appropriate one/two way data exchange mechanism with external data sources (e.g. API, Secure File Transfer, OData feeds, eMail, ODBC, OLE DB)
• Experience data extraction from different data sources including COTS (commercial off the shelf) software, unstructured Data, stand-alone databases, OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) sources, custom-developed Applications.
• Albemarle examples: SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Sharepoint, ConvergePoint, Ariba Spend Analysis.
• External examples: Convercent, Exiger, Concur, Corporate Purchasing Card Issuers, Albemarle website host (eDreamz), Transparency International (CPI), Cornerstone.

  Enterprise Architecture

• Collaboration with IT and FP&A Analytics in the design of data model(s); definition/documentation of business rules and requirements; conduct of continuous data cleansing and normalization processes in order to curate and produce accurate, trusted, and governed data within an Azure cloud-based framework.
• Creation and curation of a data catalogue to help other data consumers within Albemarle learn about, understand, and leverage data models built in the Azure ecosystem.

  Monitoring & Investigations

• Supporting Global Ethics & Compliance with their conduct of transaction monitoring and internal investigations by undertaking discrete forensic-accounting-related data requests.
• Maintenance and improvement of the Global Ethics & Compliance monitoring tool in Sharepoint.

  Special Projects

• Supporting management of projects (e.g. Compliance Sensitive Vendors, High Risk Vendors) through the design and maintenance of tracking tools.

System Improvement

• Optimization of third party systems owned/sponsored by Global Ethics & Compliance (e.g. Exiger, Convercent), Global Trade Compliance (e.g. GTS), Law Department (e.g. Legal Tracker, Apptus), Corporate Communications, Government Relations and Product Regulatory.
• Establishment of API connections between Albemarle and third party data sources to enable automated data exchange as much as possible
• Supporting other functions with the design of compliance-related system hard blocks (e.g. Salesforce, SAP)
• Development of integrated/connected feedback between transaction monitoring and tracking tools.
• Implementation of row level security for reporting and dashboards, based upon user role

Process Improvement

• Documentation of consistent process maps within Global Ethics & Compliance, Global Trade Compliance, Government Relations, Corporate Communications, Product Regulatory and the Law Department.
• Identification of redundancies/opportunities to streamline processes within Global Ethics & Compliance, Global Trade Compliance, Government Relations, Corporate Communications, Product Regulatory and the Law Department.
• Supporting other functions (e.g. Inquire to Cash, Requisition to Pay, T&E) in the simplification and enhancement of their processes.
