High Level Function and Role Overview

Master Data Management is a key enabler to ensure that Master Data in AZ’s complex system landscape remains aligned and accurate. Business processes as well as IT processes need to be in place and followed to ensure the data and the systems are capable of reacting quickly to reflect the constantly changing supply chains as well as the increased digitalization across Operations sites.

Data in our systems and applications is the backbone of AstraZeneca and it should be governed and trusted as the company asset it is.

Key Accountabilities

• The role will work and support in the global arena
• The Data Analyst will support with extracting data from our systems and providing data to our customers.
• The data Analyst will support with data analysis in projects or through Ad Hoc requests
• The role will be supporting with Data Cleanse activities mainly driven through projects.
• The role will work closely with our system analysts and Data Business Analysts in Ops IT.
• An interest in data and data flows.  
• The role holder may also be supporting with providing data for certain reports.

Candidate Knowledge, Skills and Experience

The role can be filled with an individual who comes from a service function or have experience from a similar role.

• Relevant degree or equivalent
• Data analyst with a strong background in data analysis at database level
• Conscientious and thorough in work, leaving no stone unturned and with a keen eye for detail
• Interested in growing knowledge in the business processes
• Able to produce various reports detailing volume metrics
• Propose optional ways of approach given the outcomes of the data analysis
• Has good communication skills
• Proficient with MS Excel to intermediate level
• Highlight anything that might have been missed during analysis work and make it known
• Experience of working in phased project deployment window schedules
• Appreciation of Data Governance Principles
• Should be willing to take up ownership of different pieces of work within the scope of work defined.
• Must be analytical, disciplined and should be able to independently handle work with minimum supervision.
• Good team player with strong faith in teamwork and collective responsibility.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal skills, fluent English.

• Experience of SAP ERP, SAP MDM, SAP MDG,
• Access capability
• Python capability
