Job Description

Responsibilities



Originate and execute acquisition finance and rating advisory mandates for SG's clients in the wider ASIA PAC region, with a particular focus on Greater China
Provide integrated debt structuring/capital structure/rating advisory/acquisition finance solutions to key clients of the bank, to promote SG’s offer in loan and capital markets, in close cooperation with coverage and corporate finance
Represent AFG team in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory to the client base

  • Role must be performed in accordance with the compliance rules inherent to the business. It has to be done in strict adherence with internal procedures and external regulatory rules

  • Responsibility to act within agreed risk limit (credit/market, etc...)

Profile Required



Competencies:

Technical:

  • Ability to assimilate good understanding of the loan and capital markets / M&A / credit ratings, its dynamics and the related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives, to propose relevant advisory and financing solutions
  • Capacity to generate consistent pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients’ needs
  • Responsibility – ability to understand risks (conduct, reputational, financial, etc.) for AFG, other business lines and SG Group, and the ability to act responsibly in line with SG Group Values, Code of Conduct, and other applicable rules & regulations

GLBA/IBD/AFG is responsible for the delivery of rating and acquisition finance-related services.
The department is in charge of financing activities for strategic acquisitions (excluding pure private equity players for "investment grade" and "non-investment grade” clients:

  • Financing of strategic acquisitions for SG's corporate clients, as well as certain specific entities in Asia-Pacific, which are selected together with the coverage team;
  • Strategic analysis in terms of financing and optimisation of the client’s capital structure, in coordination with the other business lines;
  • In-depth analysis to assess the financing requirement relating to a merger, demerger or any significant change in the client's scope of consolidation.


The team also provides comprehensive rating advisory services by bringing together the resources available in Asia Pacific, as well as, globally, drawing on strong expertise of the Bank’s professionals
