The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is a leading provider of business intelligence and consulting services. Our growing practice serves organisations in strategy, analytics and public affairs.

We are recruiting for an Analyst to work within an internationally-focused and diverse team. The successful candidate will work in consulting teams to deliver projects, analyse problems and generate solutions to critical organisational challenges.

Both entry-level candidates and experienced junior consultants (with up to 2 or 3 years of experience) are encouraged to apply and the package will be commensurate with qualifications.

• Work within consulting teams to deliver projects to strict deadlines
• Support work on project workstreams with a strong quantitative component, including statistical modelling and strategy formulation
• Support business development teams to provide proposal support, including data research and methodology development
• Manage project input from other parts of the Economist Intelligence Unit
• Maintain effective relationships with other parts of the Economist Intelligence Unit

• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with a strong quantitative focus such as Economics, Finance, or Statistics
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
• Demonstrated ability to apply quantitative techniques to organisational problems
• Exceptional Excel skills and familiarity with statistical packages (Stata, R etc.)
• Excellent Powerpoint skills in slide design and creating data-driven narratives for general audiences
• Familiarity with programming languages used in data management and analysis such as R and Python a plus
• Strong awareness of global public affairs issues
