Eaton is currently seeking a Capital Markets Analyst to join our team in Beachwood, Ohio. Hybrid work schedule offered. Serve as a key member of the Capital Markets team providing analytical support for several processes relating to Eaton's capital structure, hedging of interest rate, foreign currency, and credit risks, support of the long-term debt portfolio and derivatives processes, assistance in financial modeling relating to interest expense, acquisition financing, and capital structure, and support of the pension investment portfolio. The analyst will interact with key areas across the organization including Accounting, Tax, Corporate Development and Planning, and Law. In this role you will: Assists in the development of the optimal capital structure strategy while working with key external partners including banks, ratings agencies, debt investors, and other third party providers. Supports projects to issue public securities, private placements, and bank transactions. Prepares monthly forecasts of debt balances, interest payments, derivative settlements, net interest expense and cash flow. Performs peer analysis of capital structure, financing strategies/instruments, and hedging programs. Recommends trades to mitigate interest rate, foreign currency, and other market risks ensuring trading activities meet applicable regulatory requirements; performs mark-to-market of derivative hedge portfolios and analyses counterparty risk. Provides operational and investment support as it relates to the company’s pension Serves as interface with Accounting, Tax, Corporate Development & Planning and Law departments for Capital Markets issues and projects and ensures that transactions are recorded appropriately. Contributes to the development of materials for the Finance Committee of Eaton's Board of Directors. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and automation. Qualifications Genuine interest in financial markets and macro-level economic trends Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, etc.) and PowerPoint Experience with Bloomberg Financial Software, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, Quantum/SAP, Hyperion (Encore/Optimus) a plus Willingness to learn new skills and acquire knowledge, both business and technical Good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information Ability to thrive in a fast-faced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a 'roll-up your sleeves' and 'today not tomorrow' mentality Strong analytical, reasoning, organization, and problem-solving skills Strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
