Job Description

Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis supports the Manager and Director in the preparation of reports, analysis of information and the communication of results to enable decision making by senior management.

What you will be doing:

  • Management Reporting

o    Prepare monthly management reports for review by executive team and check for data consistency
o    Analyze financial results and account balances compared to forecast and budget, identify and research variances and prepare commentary
o    Active participation in the annual budget and forecast process by working with corporate and regional stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely submission
o    Upload financial data for consolidation monthly
o    Compare, verify and reconcile KPIs between various financial reporting systems 
o    Assist in preparing presentation slides for monthly performance review and budget review as needed
o    Provide Ad-Hoc analysis & reporting as required for specific business needs

  •  

    Budgeting and Forecasting

    o    Support the FP&A Team in the preparation of regional budget and forecasts
    o    Coordinate budget and forecast data to be loaded for reporting & consolidation 

     

Your experience and skills include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • High proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & collaboration skill
  • Spirit of collaboration and teamwork, positive attitude and motivated
  • Possess a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and respect for confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with other non-finance departments 
  • Experience in the hotel and hospitality industry is an asset
  • CPA designation desirable (or enrolled in/ working towards Accounting Designation)

Your team and working environment:

  • Based at the North & Central America Regional Office in Toronto, Ontario
