Job Overview
Responsible for the creation and release of documentation for one of the design engineering departments. Work directly with Engineering and downstream groups to complete IMACS+ and other system data. This product documentation is the basis for the introduction of all designs for DTNA's vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, prepare, review, and implement engineering design and documentation changes.
- Using the Daimler IMACS+ system, create and check documentation in support of engineering projects and per serial releases ensuring that engineering standards and procedures are met.
- Interpret, analyze, and coordinate complex design changes relative to implementation dates while taking into account impacts to manufacturing and other areas of the company.
- Provide technical assistance to design engineering professionals in order to ensure accurate design documentation.
- Monitor and coordinate the overall timing and flow of engineering design releases for projects ensuring that schedules are being met.
- Ensure that documentation standards and procedures keep pace with current practices and business requirements.
- Advise management when changes to documentation standards and procedures are needed and assist in writing new standards and procedures.
- Support visual management projects, strategic projects (IMACS+, ERS+), and other efforts as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university/college OR Associate's Degree with 2+ years of related experience OR High School Diploma with 4+ years of related experience required

- Capable to take high level direction, work independently, and obtain successful end results
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic experience with Smaragd, VIVA, NX, Mentor Graphics
- Knowledge in IMACS+, ERS+, Engineering Client
- Skills and knowledge in IMACS+, ERS+
- Knowledge of overall DTNA engineering processes and the downstream impact of those processes to other departments (VCM, Materials, LCM, Purchasing, Aftermarket, and Production)
