Job Description

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Analytical Chemist Scientist l, are to: 

 

  • Design and perform laboratory-based studies to determine product purity/composition, physical and chemical properties and product stability for BCS products, in full compliance with the GLP standards and global regulatory test guidelines;
  • Serve as Study Director for GLP product chemistry characterizations studies;
  • Develop, optimize and validate analytical methods;
  • Develop study protocols to meet regulatory requirements;
  • Oversee all aspects of the study and participating personnel to ensure all tasks associated with the study are compliant and project timelines are maintained;
  • Evaluate data and prepare detailed study reports for submissions to regulatory authorities taking responsibility for accuracy, veracity and conformity with all applicable regulations;
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other functions and departments to solve technical challenges and support the advancement of projects;
  • Communicate important results/findings to key stakeholders and partners;
  • Assist in training new staff on study activities and safety practices, take initiative in keeping current with developments in specialized areas;
  • Solve analytical and equipment/software problems in the laboratory environment and seek expertise and state of the art techniques from within and outside the company to facilitate problem resolution, when necessary;
  • Identify and implement workflow optimizations including the integration of digital tools and solutions;
  • Prepare SOPs and best practice documents;
  • Have commitment to follow company compliance programs and fully observe all work-place safety regulations.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry or Master’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry or Ph.D. with at least one year of experience in analytical chemistry;
  • Conduct complex studies and can prioritize tasks in a frequently changing environment;
  • Experience in instrument-based analytics such as liquid chromatography (LC), gas chromatography (GC), ion chromatography (IC), LC-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) and GC-MS;
  • Working knowledge of global regulatory processes and guidelines for crop protection chemicals or equivalent experience and experience working under GLP standards or equivalent quality management systems;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
