Day to Day Responsibilities:

Keep safety, 5S and IAP as priority.

Follow management systems, ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001.

Receive analytical requests from plant or Commercial or Division or MTE in CDT China.

Collect broken glass pieces or defect pieces from plant production line on-site or received from the requesters.

Start fracture analysis with optical microscope.

Find the failure origin of the breakage or the defect.

Estimate the failure stress of breakage.

Build the possible failure mechanism of the breakage.

Draft analytical report.

Get advice from mentor available in AAL.

Get approval from lab supervisor.

Support problem solving with the internal requesters

Education & Experience

Bachelor degree in engineering or material science

Ideally mechanical engineering, civil engineering, applied mechanics, and material science & engineering.

1~3 years work experience in laboratory or plant

Required Skills

Native level communication skill in Chinese.

Communication skill in English.

Work with patience, carefulness and positive

Ability to work in a team based environment.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Learning capability to use optical microscope.

Interest in “detective” work on the failure issue.

Technical report writing skills in Chinese or English.

General knowledge on the mechanics.

Good time keeper.

Interest to international communication and culture.
