Job Description
The Role

The Engagament Manager role is a leadership role and will be responsible for growing revenue, supporting high level business and measurement objectives and enhancing the overall sales journey for the client.

Delivering Insight, Impact, Innovation

Solve business problems using advanced analytics, develop sophisticated solutions & actionable insights
In-depth knowledge of consumer marketing in the CPG/Retail space for Mainland China
Knowledge of Databases - Consumer Research & BASES from Nielsen as well as non-standard Chinese language survey data
Knowledge of tools such as Spotfire, Advanced Statistics and ETL tools like SQL (good to have)
Be client trusted advisor
Excellent communication skills (Mandarin and English) and strong ability to work closely and collaboratively with clients
Strong analytical thinking skills - ability to creatively solve business problems, innovating new approaches where required
Exhibit thought leadership in industry/domain/ analytics techniques and statistics tools
Strong Leadership / people management skills
Entrepreneurial nature and innovative in approach
Ability to manage small to medium size projects in Consumer Market Research Analytics with operational experience
Comfortable with working in an onsite-offshore engagement model
Understand client(stated and unstated) needs, their pain areas and lead client engagements
Lead the exercise to structure complex business problems using problem solving techniques such as issue tree and MECE approach
Develop and conceptualize sophisticated and innovative analytical solution and actionable insights with high client and business understanding
Manage crises situation and communicate - take action along with stakeholders and team members proactively
Lead project management – adherence of timelines and quality of delivery, forecast people requirement, business needs, manage and communicate with stakeholders, ensure that the teams follow operational discipline
Be the thought leader in the focus area, go to person for internal teams
Lead knowledge sharing sessions in the team, participate in developing white papers and share new trends in analytics with colleagues and evolve one’s own opinion on the concepts

Qualification & Experience

8 – 9 years of experience solving business problems in CPG/ Retail with advanced analytics techniques and solutions
Ability to spot opportunities from nebulous conversations and leverage previous experience to ideate Analytical, flexible, cross functional and creative thinker with a collaborative approach
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Good logical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to think on his/her feet and engage with both the business and analytical community
