Ensures the efficient planning, provisioning, installation/configuration, maintenance, and/or operations of the hardware and software infrastructure required to build, validate, and release a wide variety of hardware and software products and projects. Works closely with development and quality teams to derive infrastructure design requirements, build, test, and automate tools appropriate to the project, and/or implements and maintains of those systems within the constraints imposed by Intel enterprise infrastructure (IT) and other governing bodies. Owns the endtoend delivery pipeline, including source code management, versioning/tagging strategy, component build and packaging, test automation tooling, release staging, acceptance and/or indicators, required security and IP scans, any thirdparty conformance tools, artifact storage and distribution, and disasterrecovery planning. Identifies opportunities and implements solutions for increased automation, reliability, and/or velocity within the pipeline through implementation of robust infrastructure telemetry, KPIs, and indicators, and by monitoring and applying industry bestpractices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar
Experience in scripting languages like Python or bash
Experience in CI-CD systems such as Jenkins, Buildbot, Team City, etc., with multiple vendors tools expertise an extra feather in your cap, especially for cloud-based systems
Experience in Windows, Linux and macOS configuration and administration.
Must have multi-lingual expertise on 2 of the 3, with System Administration experience at the domain level access and permissions, deep networking System Administration experience, and automated scripting of OS provisioning using tools such as Ansible an absolute must for senior level applicants
Good English skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to understand and support pre-production hardware, with debugging skill such that you can distinguish HW flaws, not-yet-working OS, and driver best-known-configurations, or software stack mismatches
Knowing when Containers are applicable, VMs can be used, and where standalone bare-metal systems are all that can work for many given situations; if you think one of these fits all situations, you've not seen the problems we're dealing with daily
Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Containers as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service
Experience in Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and the ability to produce Configuration-as-Code that can be portable to another service if a better one is found down the road.
Deep knowledge of build systems usage
Experience with Grafana
Experience with Ansible
Experience with storage technologies such as Dell EMC, Powerscale, HP 3PaR, NetApp, Oracle, SQL
Experience as a Virtual Environment Admin
Technical experience in computing infrastructure components, data centers, and system support
Scripting or programming experience on a variety of platforms such as: C, PowerShell, JavaScript, VBScript, Python, Bash
Experience in SAN platforms such as: EMC, VMAX, HP, EVA 3Par, but especially NetApp through NFS and CIFS, etc.
Network technologies and IP stack: TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN's, firewalls
Proven ability of planning own efforts and delivering results
Good communication and presentation skills; ability to clearly explain complex technical issues and suggest data-driven solutions
Proactive, organized, self-motivated and self-directed
