Role and Team Description: The Software Platform Team is responsible for the SW lifecycle for New Product Introductions (NPI),and Android SW customize to comply with North America carriers requirements, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and etc. The team’s focus is to ensure we continue to delight our customers and consumers by delivering best in class product experience, stability and performance by interfacing with product core teams, managing SW commitments, and executing to these commitments while leveraging all aspects of SW platforming across the SW lines and products. In this role you will: \- partner with product management team to understand the customer's business cases and software requirements, digest it with  technical analysis, and adapt our product design, to meet the customer expectation, and solve the customer's pain point. \-  drive the technical design, set component features release commitment, drive and manage release of software component. \- manage planning, development, stabilization and delivery of feature releases that meets the carriers requirement. \- triage, analyze and, if needed, provide fixes for issues reported by product testing. \- monitor test activities and drive resolution of issue as a result of smoke, sanity, platform testing, Google compliance tests, stability rack, dogfooding, KPI etc. \- interface with platform integration, product, experience, product launch, and HW teams to ensure SW related dependencies are met and issues are resolved \- Interface with Product and Portfolio management on strategic plans. #### Position Requirements: Basic Qualifications: \- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. \- Proficiency in at least one modern language, such as Java, C/C++, and Python. \- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications: \- Experience and extensive knowledge of Android/Linux \- Experience with the Android Framework including Telephony, Connectivity, Android applications development. \- Mobile communication knowledge is highly desirable \- Strong problem solving skills as well as ability to learn quickly. \- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines. \- Strong technical leadership, good at driving issues to closure and constructing actionable plans \- Experience working in a demanding work environment and accelerated products life cycle. \- Ability to adapt to changes in priorities and customer focus.
