The Mobile Data Labs (“MDL”) team in San Francisco is working on building new modern life products to reinvent the future of personal productivity. Our consumer applications aim to provide effortless solutions, remove administrative hassles and give users back their time and money, freeing them to focus on the things they care about most.
Our first product, MileIQ has experienced tremendous growth and has received incredible reception. MileIQ is the #1 top-grossing finance app and has received a five-star average review from a very engaged user base. We are deeply proud of the principles that we have held to build MileIQ. They include both a customer-driven focus on our end-users and a data-driven approach to inform our product roadmap. It is our goal is to continue and apply these principles to the new products our will be building for the Modern Life launch.
Responsibilities
- Develop and release features for a new Android app.
- Work with our product and design teams to implement an intuitive and engaging user experience.
- Ensure high quality, stable and performant code.
- Participate in code and design reviews.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of Android experience working in Java or Kotlin and releasing apps to the Play Store.
- Bachelor's in computer science or a related field.
- Knowledge of object-oriented software development, algorithms and data structures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong UI design
- Experience with Jetpack and Kotlin coroutines
- Familiarity with web services, API development or database development.
