Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to cross-platform network multimedia system development

You will leverage your strong programming skills in Android Java and C/C++, deep understanding of the Android framework and Android TV framework, with the ability to translate networking and multimedia concepts into efficient and optimized implementations are required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Architecting and developing network software, including Android / AndroidTV applications and middle-ware
• Contributing to R&D proof-of-concepts
• Read and comprehend technical papers and presentations
• Write clear and concise technical documentation and correspondence
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Education and Experience

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, MS preferred
• At least 7 years of experience with Android Java and C/C++
• Deep understanding of Android / Android TV framework and audio subsystem
• Deep understanding of memory management, network/socket programming, and multi-threading
• Understanding of compressed audio codecs including MP3 and AAC
• Understanding of multimedia network protocols (mms, rtp, rtsp, etc.)
• Understanding of principles of multimedia frameworks
• Understanding of issues arising from network programming and troubleshooting ability
• Experience coding globalized mobile apps that work smoothly in multiple languages
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, write technical specifications
• Strong teamwork and project-related skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work with little supervision
• 15% of international travel may be required
