• The ideal candidate will have the ability to demonstrate the following:
• Previous apparel product development, fabric and trim sourcing, and manufacturing experience working in afactory

• Worked with active wear / swim wear or stretch fabrics.

• Must be fluent in English verbal & written.
• span>
• Must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is also a plus

• Someone who can follow a strict design and development calendar/critical path and ensure that all deadlines are being made
  

• Experience tracking prototypes from beginning to end, along with salesman samples/photo shoot samples

• Experience going to markets in China and Hong Kong to source different fabrics and trims

• A good eye for detail, and very informed and up-to-date on current fashion trends

• Someone who can serve as the designer’s (who is located in the UK) counterpart and set of eyes for when she is not in Thailand herself

• Someone who can directly communicate daily or weekly with the designer in UK and update her on the status of all protos and any issues
• span>
• Someone confident and comfortable to make decisions about fabric, trims, possibly minor fit changes, and manufacturing on behalf of the designer when she is not there

• Strong initiative, drive and enthusiasm with the ability to work unsupervised

• Someone eager and willing to visit different markets and mills on perhaps a weekly basis, constantly out on the field looking for innovative yet affordable fabrics and trims

• Someone who has relationships already with fabric and trim mills, and factories is also a plus

• Strong negotiating and costing experience, and someone able to understand fabric and trim minimums and lead times for small quantities per season

• Experience approving lab dips, prints, and other dye/technique options

• span>

• Basic understanding of garment construction/patterns, and fittings

• span>

• Good understanding of fabrics and materials

• Previous experience in a similar role and previous experience working alongside a designer or product developer is also ideal

• Willing to travel throughout Asia.

• Work permit provided and company travel to factory based in Ladkrabang Thailand.
• span>
• Payment of relocation costs if required.
