1. KEY RESPPONSIBILITIES

• New Business Pursuit

1) Develop concept design based on customer RFQ and Specifications.

2) Select component designs that position Modine to make competitive quotation and meet the customer's performance and durability targets.

• Launch Execution

1)Lead APQP design validation activities and support launch preparation at manufacturing locations.

2) Coordinate prototype builds, and ensure accurate design validation

3) Complete design reviews with manufacturing locations and suppliers to ensure both Modine plants and suppliers understand risks and requirements. Identify risks for designs with DFMEA reviews and link risks to PFMEA and Production Control Plans.

4) Make sure final prints and models are representative of the design function and customer requirements. Assist in resolving program launch issues and plants and suppliers.

• Production Support

1)Support manufacturing locations, suppliers and customers with design related issues/updates past program launch

2)Work with Warranty group to analyze field failures from customer applications and determine root cause of failure and corrective actions.

3)Work with Plant ME/QE to make design changes/updates to improve production efficiency and execute using controlled change release process.

• Product Enhancements

1)Lead/Support cost reduction initiatives for product and process

2. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1) The incumbent in this position requires an extensive knowledge of heat exchanger design (specifically Radiators, Charge Air Coolers and Oil Coolers) and how they are applied to vehicle applications.

2)2-5 years of relevant experience in related industry

3)Strong computer skill (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

4)Strong communication skills (written and speaking) - Fluent in English and Mandarin
