Job Title: Application Engineer

Location: Taicang, China

Job Purpose:

Support sales team to consolidate the customers engineering needs and transfer to manufacturing engineering for NPD/applications to grow business applications in China.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Transfer the oversea technology to local applications
• Drive new products or applications launch in China
• Implement the project related engineering actions according to the templates, process and procedure of PA131&QD518
• Support sales manager to solve the engineering issues of RFQ, visit the technical dept. of customers frequently
• Coordinate technical communications between Oversea and China
• Design related products according to customer requirements, spec. and drawings
• Follow up new product development according APQP procedure
• Work with QA to solve the quality issue from inside or outside
• Manage or implement project related actions to ensure project complete with good quality, timely and within budget
• Develop test facility for DPD if needs
• Design other product as needed to support other application engineers
• Other designated accountabilities

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Education background/Qualifications:

• Master degree, Mechanical or auto related major

Working experience:

• At least 3 years or above experience in related automotive industry as product design, product application

Skills:

• Should be familiar with TS16949(ITAF), such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, etc.
• Knowledgeable of the new product development procedure. Be capable to design dedicated mass production parts or product
• Knowledge of EGR or relate AFM work experience will be a plus
• Knowledge of manufacturing processing will be a plus
• Good technical problem solving on work site both internal and in customer side
• Software skill: Solidworks, Auto-cad
• Be good at both written and oral English to communicate with foreign engineers.
• Good communication skill

Others:

• Be able to travel about twice(2-3 days per times) monthly
