The Barefoot Switch Division (BXD) at Intel Corporation is seeking highly motivated students to join the BXD in our Network and Edge Group (NEX) as an Intern. We're a vibrant team which helps drive Intel's programmable switching technology and products to position Tofino as the switching platform of choice and for the Cloud, Data Center, Enterprise, and Telco network deployments.

Responsibilities:
As an Intern on our Customer Engineering team, you will be responsible for research, development, or test of a component of our system, based on your experience and interest. You will pair up with a team member to identify and develop an execution plan for your project.

This internship is for 12 months.

Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum requirements
The candidate must be pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
6 months experience in:
- Programming in C++
- Python scripting
- Working in a Linux/Unix environment

Preferred requirements
Enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering
6+ months experience in:
- L2/L3 networking protocols
- Course projects relating to backend compiler development

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$52,000.00-$147,000.00
