Principal Job Responsibilities:
May perform some or all of the following: Perform hardware, software, and system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting. Report design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to product team on product design, application, and service information. Design of platform solutions (hardware & software) for application investigation, product evaluation, demonstration systems and reference designs. Support new product or technology development. Create/present customer facing collateral, documentation and application notes. Facilitate resolution of customer issues (including system integration, troubleshooting, and testing). Perform competitive analysis.
Qualifications
Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or related field OR, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in the same fields as above plus 1 year of (industry, academic, and/or research) experience gained at any time. In addition to Master’s degree or alternative Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of experience, must have: strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to perform the duties as described; concentrated knowledge of hardware, software, or system testing/debugging; proficiency in circuit design or programming (for example as demonstrated by projects or tasks completed); strong knowledge of analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, RF, or embedded fundamentals; ability to use system modeling or test tools such as SPICE to facilitate development; ability to recognize and report design, reliability, documentation, or maintenance problems or bugs; ability to develop technical training materials or documentation; and solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective internal/external communication.
