Application Engineer-OpenTower iQ

 

Bentley Systems is seeking a high-energy, driven professional with excellent demonstration and communication skills, and natural drive to present fast growing Bentley’s OpenTower iQ solutions to potential users. As a member of the Acceleration Initiatives group, the Application Engineer plays an integral role to ensure users buy, adopt and expand their portfolio of Bentley applications. The Application Engineer will collect user requirements, define optimal solutions, present to the user and be involved in promoting solutions to new users, training delivery and implementations.

 

Location: This position is remote, based from a home office in the US

 

Responsibilities

  • Technically support the business development team with benefit and user story oriented demonstrations that promote Bentley OpenTower iQ.
  • Perform technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Present workshops and seminars.
  • Coordinate and perform software product training activities, project assessments, reviews and audits.  
  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application.
  • Assist in composing proposals, pilots, Proof of Concepts, benchmarks and in closing sales opportunities.
  • Work with strategic partners and resellers within the region, presenting workshops and seminars.
  • Assist in enhancing product quality and standards development. Work closely with product development groups based on local software requirements and user input.
  • Maintaining awareness of relevant industry trends, best practices and government regulations.
  • Define and convey account-specific configuration & enhancement needs to meet specific business requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or relevant experience required
  • Minimum 5 year's industry experience in the infrastructure (engineering) software business, preferably related to the mobile telecom industry.
  • Experience in software product demonstrations
  • Experience with ContextCapture, Structural analysis, GIS, BIM, and Digital Twins is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills including client facing demonstrations, with the ability to explain complex issues and solutions to audiences of different levels of knowledge and seniority.
  • Outgoing and extrovert personality with strong team working and interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
