The Application Engineer is primarily a Software Engineer/Developer. Significant contribution also result when the AE acts as a product evangelist, program/project manager and a marketer. Application Engineers act as consultants and provide support to third party product developers. AEs help developers create or move their products to IA, achieve the best performance of their applications on IA, and prepare collateral material to capture methods and demonstrate their results. As SW and Intel technology expert, key duties and responsibilities include:Ensuring software products by leading software vendors (ISVs and corp. developers) run best on Intel's latest and upcoming platforms and technologies.Support SW developers during all phases of SW development cycle.Influence feature definition, project setup, project execution, tech support for go to market 50% of time.Providing technical training, consultation, and hands on assistance to SW developers in areas of architecture, technologies, code development, testing and tuning of SW apps 20% of time.Providing training, consultation, and hands on assistance to SW developers using the Intel SW Tools; evangelize Intel SW Tools and technologies to SW developer community 10% of time.Author technical papers and training courses; provide expertise to customers and peer Intel orgs 10% of time.Contributing to Intel SW and HW product development by providing tech feedback to Intel product teams 10% of time.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years C++ development experience on Linux and Windows
• 1+ years’ experience in 3D Graphics Application or Driver or driver development-
• Demonstrated knowledge of Ray Tracing methods
• Image Denoising applications

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated Expertise in 3D Ray Traced Rendering through published papers, commercial or open-source SW products.
• Applications development experience with Intel one API Rendering Toolkit, NVidia OptiX, NanoVDB, Index or AMD ProRender or Rays
• Experience with 3rd Party Customer facing
• Partnering joint SW development experience.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$85,420.00-$136,400.00
