The Opportunity

Engineering position in the Keyuan Road location of Marvell Semiconductor, in Shanghai
Support architecture teams by designing and performing experiments on HDD electronics in a lab environment using custom evaluations system hardware, software and firmware. Produce professional reports showcasing experimental results. Present and defend results to architecture team and customers. 3. Collaborate with design and architecture teams to produce application notes and other written documentation, reference software, software libraries and other technical information for new and existing features in HDD SoC’s. Communicate this information to customers. 4. Provide support to field applications team. Use your experience and expertise in HDD’s, read channel communications systems, signal processing, firmware, and our custom eval system to answer questions raised by the customer. Using same knowledge, solve difficult problems that arise in customer’s application. Some travel to customer sites may be required. * MSEE + 0 years experience
Prefer experience or classes in signals+systems or DSP
Prefer experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, AWG, etc.
Prefer experience with HDD (hard disk drive) electronics systems
Prefer experience or classes in communications systems (e.g., HDD read channel, Ethernet PHY, SATA PHY)
Prefer experience in technical customer support, field applications engineering, applications engineering or systems engineering
Require experience with MATLAB, Python and\or other prominent scripting language. Prefer some exposure to firmware and low-level programming as well.
Good written and verbal communications skills are required
This is a position for a bright and engaged candidate with interest in gaining hands-on experience in electronic communications channels, signal processing, electronic hardware design and firmware design.
This is NOT a VLSI design, ASIC design or software applications design position
