As an Application Engineering Manager, you will manage and lead the daily operations of the Application Engineering team in CPS Sales & Service Support Organization. With the team, you will be supporting Eaton’s internal country sales organizations with technical and commercial requests and acting as a technical advisor in customer meetings. Your responsibilities will be to oversee the resource allocation and workflow of all pre-sales support activities and ensure that department goals are met. In addition, mentor and coach team members and develop the team processes and tools. You will work within our world class Engineering Team in our Espoo Site and in close collaboration with different stakeholders (R&D, Product Marketing, Sales, Production, Customers and Suppliers). Your key deliverables: • Lead, drive and motivate the CPS (Critical Power Solution) Application Engineering Team • Provide comprehensive pre-sales support to Eaton Country Sales Offices across the EMEA region • Analyse customer requirements, write quotations, create supporting material with the team • Advise internal and external customers on overall UPS solutions • Mentor, train and develop team members • Develop the Application Engineering Team processes and tools • Handle stress and customers tight deadlines professionally in a fast-paced environment • Set, forecast, and report the Application Engineering Team targets and key indicators Qualifications Required: • Min. B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering or equivalent • Technical knowledge on power electronics and/or three phase electrical systems and solutions • Experience in application engineering or team management • Fluency in English and basics in Finish essential • Excellent organizational skills • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision • Strong work ethic • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Desired: • Experience in UPS technologies and systems • Strong customer service orientation • Commercial awareness with good decision-making capabilities What Eaton offers: • Flexible working hours with option for remote working (2-3days per week) • Company health care by Mehilainen • Learning opportunity, trainings and career development • Parking, Power for Engine block heater and Hybrid vehicle charging.
