We are looking for an Application Solution Engineer, for our Regional Solution & Service business, with one of the two domains: Fire & Security; Comfort, IOT, Connectivity, to be hired with a permanent contract in Milano. Your Challenge As Application Solution Engineering your mission will be to be responsible for providing professional and advanced technical support for applications, remotely and on-site, in pre-sales, sales and delivery phase; proactively plan and perform advanced technical activities requiring knowledge in multiple areas and on a system level to service the customer by giving advanced support to pre-sales, sales and operation organization; prioritize work based on customer impact, and bring expertise to customer site on need basis. Some of the main activities will be: Pre-sales & Sales phase Support Project Offering and Sales team in RFI/RFP evaluation to identify the best possible product/solution, system configuration, applications, approving bill of material for large or first of its kind projects managing communication with the 3rd party suppliers if required Develop detailed customer solution design & architecture ensuring customer requirements are accurately represented Perform technical risk evaluation for overall technical solution and support during LOA process Proactively design the building network topology for complex projects Local technical counterpart for discussion with customer’s experts, HQ experts Take care about Cyber security topics inside the projects Cover the role of PSS (Product & Solution Security) for REU IT Engineering & Commissioning Lead the technical implementation during the delivery phase Define Engineering guidelines to improve engineering and commissioning efficiency Optimize offered solutions to reduce risks, engineering mistake, commissioning problems Support in complex and first of its kind solution implementation and commissioning Coordination and implementation of template for acceptance tests Take care about Cyber security topics inside the projects After Sales and Service Support Service technicians (and/or ATP partners) Technical support, On-site or remotely, for complex and first of its kind projects resolving technical problems Manage the communication with the 3rd party suppliers mainly when is required Trainings Provides comprehensive training for using applications and solution focused on specific customer projects / demand coaching Field Technicians, Sales and eventually ATP on REU solution and service offerings Interface Act as the main point of contact between HQ and country for any kind of technical topics To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have: Education background in one of the following degree courses: Electronic, Electrical, Informatics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering Strong knowledge of the Siemens Smart Infrastructure portfolio offering in building automation, systems, and platforms integration Good knowledge of IT networks, IoT, Cloud platforms and related topics Fluent Italian language and good knowledge of English is an advantage Ability to discuss with customer for requirements gathering Ability to Solution Design Creation and deployment Strong understanding of Building automation protocols (BACNet, Modbus, KNX, etc) Advanced level on Operating System such as Windows.
