The Applications Development Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects and foster communication between business leaders and IT
- Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommends solutions
- Support system change processes from requirements through implementation and provide input based on analysis of information
- Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provides user and operational support
- Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
- Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships
- Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Duties:
- Work in critical Treasury, Regulatory, Recover & Resolution Planning delivery programs by interacting with, Sr. business clients, Global product owners, projects teams, governance teams, FRSS and Cross sector tech teams.
- Develop highly efficient Rules based solutions that meet approved business requirements and aggressive delivery timelines.
- Use best practices and standards for metadata driven re-usable architectural frameworks
- Provide framework, stewardship, governance, and decision making for the management of enterprise data across project development teams, business users and other stake-holders.
- Balance short-term versus long-term actions, strategic versus tactical requirements, while continuing to move forward towards the strategic vision and participate in the road map activities to achieve vision.
Qualifications
- Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), or related field.
- Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in Data Integration, Data Architecture, ETL Architecture, Design and Development using Ab Initio with good experience on Oracle database.
Skills required:
- Must have experience in Architecture, Design and Development of Ab Initio ETL and Data Management solutions including ability to understand the internal working of variety of Ab Initio components.
- Must have experience in delivering Metadata management strategy and reusable Ab Initio solutions using Ab Initio’s technical and business metadata components.
- Must have experience creating highly efficient reusable frameworks and design patterns in Ab Initio.
- Must have experience with performance tuning techniques in Ab Initio.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge across full suite of Ab Initio toolsets e.g. GDE, EME, BRE, Express>It, Data Profiler and Conduct>It.
- Minimum experience required: 5+ years of experience in Data Integration, Data Architecture, ETL Architecture, Design and Development using Ab Initio with good experience on Oracle database, 1 year of Big data ( Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive, Hue, Query IT, Avro, Parquet) and Rules engines.
- Business area Knowledge is plus : Development of Resolution Planning systems, Finance & Treasury Regulatory reporting in wholesale and Retail business, CCAR schedules, Experience in Broker Dealer P&L and Balance sheet calculation systems, Capital adequacy ratios.
- Must have 1 years’ experience in Architecture, Design and Development of Big data platforms, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive, Hue, Query IT, Avro, Parquet, Cloudera , Data-mere, Arcadia. Or must have 5+ years of Ab Initio ETL and Data Management solutions including ability to understand the internal working of variety of Ab Initio components.
- Experience in delivering Metadata management strategy and reusable Big Data and Rules-based Ab Initio solutions using Ab Initio’s technical and business metadata components.
- Demonstrated knowledge across full suite of Ab Initio toolsets e.g. GDE, EME, BRE, Express>It, Data Profiler and Conduct>It.
- Experience in data management functions including data governance, data design, master data management, metadata management, and data quality management.
- Must have ability to conceptualize and advocate best practices, standards and procedures in delivering highly efficient solutions using Ab Initio.
- Must have practical experience with number of techniques involved in ETL and Data integration space including ability to Design highly efficient end-to-end large scale ETL solutions.
- Must have experience in data management functions including data governance, data design, master data management, metadata management, and data quality management.
- Must have experience managing IT teams and leading teams to deliver efficient data driven solutions key stakeholder management.
