Junior Applications Engineer - Isolated Power & Interlink Product Line

The Power & Interlink team within the Isolation Product Line develops leading edge highly integrated silicon-based isolated products for Industrial, Instrumentation, Automotive, Healthcare, Communications and Consumer applications. ADI iCoupler technology is the world class leader in this space.
We are seeking candidates that are open minded, have strong core technical knowledge, have interest in developing themselves and work with breakthrough innovation products.
The applications engineer role is about supporting our clients, solving technical challenges and making easy to adopt our products and signal chains. You will develop hardware and software solutions, leveraging classical analog electronics and power management skillset; we look forward to talents bringing and applying innovative know-how like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks.

The Role
- You will understand the customer needs and application. Provide innovative, practical and timely solutions to customer issues when adopting our products. Work with field colleagues and directly with the customer to solve these issues and present the solutions.
- You will work with ADI Design and Technology teams to shape our future products to deliver the best solution for the customer.
- You will create tools that make it faster and easier for our customers to design-in our products, being it Hardware Reference Designs or Software Tools.
- You will create technical media (datasheets, application notes, videos, demos, technical seminars/webinars and trade press articles) that promote awareness of our products. Make our differentiation and unique value clear in these media.
- You will perform competitive benchmarking of Analog Devices products in order to ensure our strength and weaknesses are constantly monitored and improved
- The business of ADI is international. Over time you will develop relationships with our Field Application Engineers, Sales Engineers and distributors via key training material creation and delivery. You will have the chance to travel to the most exciting development centers in the world.
- Be open to learning every day. Developing system level understanding in relevant application segments is crucial. Understand the customer system issues with a view to defining value-added solutions.

The Person
- The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in electronics engineering or related field – PhD preferred
- Technical skills: Skilled in Analog and Power electronics.
- Critical thinking: problem solving approach, with a desire to brainstorm with team members to find solutions to solve complex challenges. Aiming to build a collaborative environment and interact inside and outside the organization
- Appreciated knowledge in dc-dc switching converters, interfaces (RS-485, CAN, I2C, USB, LVDS), voltage and current sensing (analog to digital converters).
- Appreciated knowledge in PCB design (Cadence Allegro), simulation (LTSpice), lab measurements, software-assisted automation (e.g. Python, C, Labview) and microcontroller coding.
- Appreciated knowledge in high power switches (MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, GaN).
- Results oriented, fast learner and open minded
- Strong verbal and communication skills for internal and external presentations
