As a Senior Applications Engineer We are seeking a dynamic, technical professional who will be responsible for the technical selling and support of Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions. As an Applications Engineer, you will: work with account managers to determine the sales execution strategy, identify and qualify engagements based on customers' needs and business opportunities, define evaluations and benchmark criteria, execute relevant technical campaigns to meet established goals considering customers' production flows, and provide best-in-class support. You will ensure both the customers' success and the broader use of Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions. Your will take the lead on the following. • Provide technical leadership on all aspects of sales campaigns. Contribute and execute pre-sales and post-sales account strategies as a member of the sales team. • Qualify the technical viability of sales opportunities and communicate them to the sales team. • Influence marketing and product groups to meet customers’ needs and shape product direction. • Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and benchmarks. • Effectively position Siemens EDA products and solutions to shape sales strategy. • Effectively communicate the value proposition of Siemens EDA solutions to customers. • Develop and maintain ongoing positive relationships with customers. • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure mutual success. About you! You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher (manufacturing, automation technology, industrial engineering (mechanical), software engineering, or similar degree) with great command of English. Also, you have about five years’ experience as a Applications Engineer with a strong functional background in PLM technologies. The following technical skills hold no secrets for you: • Knowledgeable in at least one of the next industries: aerospace, automotive & transportation, machinery, and/or CP&G (process industry) and knowledgeable in at least Siemens' product portfolio (PLM, ALM; MES) • Strong technical background in IT Enterprise projects; PLM and/or MES background, used to work within Engineering and Manufacturing IT Enterprise projects. Multi-platform (PLM-ERP-MES-ALM) projects as desirable background as well • Strong Project Schedule skills, used to manage standard tools like Microsoft Project and experienced in managing PSA (Professional Services Automation) software tools, ideally Financial Force Your personality! You have excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to work well with people from many different fields with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear, concise, and tactful communication with senior management, clients, peers, and staff. • You make business decisions with confidence, by negotiation and consensus among diverse groups, impacting the activities of others not in their own reporting structure. • Presentation and written communication skills. • Excellent people management skills • Strategic, conceptual analytical thinking, and decision-making skills. • Adaptability and flexibility include the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.
