Job Description

The role:

We are looking for a committed, hard-working person with an interest in learning about the work of the Farming Department, to support the team in their daily work while being driven and excited to undertake an apprenticeship training programme.

Key deliverables

  • Receiving telephone calls and dealing with them appropriately.

  • Processing invoices and self-billing invoices for payment.

  • Maintaining an accurate and up to date paper and IT filing system.

  • Helping in our aspiration to become paperless as far as possible.

  • Typing dictated letters and reports.

  • Preparing documentation such as meeting packs, agreements and licences.

  • Scanning, filing, photocopying.

  • Liaising with clients.

  • Arranging travel.

  • Booking meetings and managing fee earners’ diaries.

  • Opening jobs, raising fees on job completion.

  • Assisting with the administration of management clients.

  • Dealing with the post.

  • Assisting with anti-money laundering checks, on boarding of clients and drafting of terms of engagement and terms of business.

  • Keeping up to date with the company’s wider processes and keeping the team up to date.

  • Organising the team’s attendance at local marketing and networking events.

  • Other general administrative duties to support the team.

 

Person specification

Experience

  • Enthusiasm to complete apprenticeship training and continue learning.

  • Strong communication skills including a confident telephone manner.

  • Typing skills, audio and copy.

  • Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.

  • Organised and able to prioritise.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent planning, organisational and co-ordination skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

  • Strong team player with excellent people skills.

  • Strong IT skills including capability in Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Positive, can-do attitude.
