Apprenticeship Account Manager

Responsible for the strategic and profitable development, delivery and customer management of NTAR’s/Siemens Apprenticeship programmes in response to Government and Industry strategy & policy, new scheme standards, the Apprenticeship Levy and specific customer requirements. The NTAR/Siemens business plan defines medium to long term volumes of over 300 concurrent learners spread over a customer base of over 24 organisations. Also includes responsibility for leading thinking and influencing creative and innovative outcomes at Industry level, creation of a network of strategic, quality partners to deliver schemes on a nationwide basis. Responsible for the on-boarding of learners and the management of the entry level talent schemes, developing personal, professional, and technical skill, knowledge, and competencies required for the company to achieve its strategic objectives. Support the evaluation of the effectiveness and enhancement of the entry level talent standards, exploring trends, innovations, and applications within the industry.
What are my responsibilities?
Entry Level Talent Strategy/Standard
- Communicate the entry level talent standard to sponsor managers, placement managers, employees, and learners, outlining their responsibilities within the relevant scheme.
- Provide support to this group for questions related to the entry level talent Standard.
- Assist in the development of and circulate reports and statistics about the entry level talent standards for the use of internal and external stakeholders.
- Create detailed delivery model for each respective scheme including qualifications, delivery partners, assessment approach.
- Develop and define the approach to the use of leading learning and progress technology in support of delivering each scheme.
- Provide pastoral learner support in line with Siemens contractual obligations as defined by Siemens Mobility Professional Education UK.
- Develop an entry-level talent community that maximises the learners’ well-being and forges links across sites and externally where appropriate.
- Support the delivery of apprentice engagement/satisfaction at work, reviewing regularly retention rates.
- Build relationships with relevant colleges to support Siemens / NTAR apprenticeship programmes.
- Account manages external training providers and colleges to ensure they meet the standards required.
- Ensure all quality assurance processes for the provision of apprenticeships @ Siemens are adhered to.
- Carry out regular learner progress reviews for apprentices.
- Facilitate the assessment of apprentices’ technical, professional, and occupational competence against the relevant apprenticeship standard, UKSPEC, and business CMS. Provide candidates with individual feedback and actions as specified in the assessment plan and Individual Learner Plan.
- Ensure all portfolios are submitted for internal verification, check in a timely manner.
- Liaise with Siemens Mobility Professional Education UK, training suppliers and training institutions such as awarding bodies, sector skills councils and the QCA to ensure continuous professional development and understanding of changes to the apprenticeship landscape.
- Identify and create relationships with specialist technology providers to ensure learning experience is leading edge and compatible with culture of Millenials and Gen Z.
- Support Works as part of Siemens Mobility Professional Education in line with contractual obligations (OFSTED; SFA).
- Works with the Training Business Partner.
- Contribution to Siemens Mobility Professional Education projects as required.
- Implement safe systems and controls within your area of responsibility
- Understand, implement and comply with the Siemens Mobility HSWE policies.
- Communicate health and safety responsibilities to your colleagues and ensure employees raise issues and participate in implementation of agreed changes.
- Take reasonable care to avoid acts or omissions that may have an environmental impact.
- Accept personal responsibility to take care of ourselves and any others affected by one’s own acts or omissions
- Role Model behaviour and values consistent with Siemens Values, Siemens Rail Systems Behaviours and Siemens Business Conduct Guidelines.
- Monitor compliance to meet internal control procedures and take appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure awareness and understanding of Siemens compliance policies and ‘Tell Us’ ethos. Implement in areas of responsibility.
- Liaise with training suppliers and training institutions such as awarding bodies, sector skills councils and the QCA to ensure continuous professional development and understanding of changes to the apprentice landscape.
- Meets and exceeds NSAR QA and CoE quality standards in Apprenticeship arena
- Compliance with all funding and awarding body standards and processes (in particular Digital Apprenticeship Service).
Essential:
- CIPD Learning and Development Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
- Excellent knowledge of vocational engineering standards / frameworks
- Experience in an industry with high levels of regulation and compliance
- Experience of vocational programmes/qualifications in the engineering sector
- Interpersonal skills to liaise with customers at all levels
- Enhanced CRB disclosure
- Effective relationship building
- Effective negotiating and influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Aptitude to IT systems
- Is able to work on own initiative as part of a virtual team
Preferred:
- Excellent knowledge of common inspection framework requirements for young learners
- Good working knowledge of English
